This year our Junior Ambassadors organised a festive Christmas market to celebrate European cultures and traditions within the school community. The event was open to all secondary students and aimed to promote intercultural understanding and seasonal joy.
The celebration featured:
- Stalls with festive foods from various European countries,
- Displays with fun facts about Christmas traditions across Europe,
- Scottish poetry readings rewarded with sweet treats,
- Creative Christmas-themed crafts.

The event was very well received, with students across year groups taking part and engaging with the different cultural elements on display. It was a lively and inclusive celebration of diversity across Europe.
In addition, Primary Year 2 pupils enjoyed a cheerful and interactive presentation about Christmas customs in several European countries, followed by a group sing-along of “Jingle Bells” led by ambassador Clémentine.
This joyful initiative reflected the values of the EPAS programme by encouraging student-led action, cultural awareness, and European identity.
