EPAS European Baking Competition

This online baking competition encouraged students to explore European cultures through traditional recipes. Promoted via school notices and tutor groups, it fostered cultural appreciation and creativity. Two winners received prizes for their culturally-inspired entries.

“I have made a 5 -layered Dobos Torte which is the national cake of Hungary. It consists of 5 layers of vanilla sponge with chocolate buttercream in-between and on the top and side of the cake. It is completed with a hardened caramel windmill and homemade caramel drips down the side. I made all the components including the caramel wheel on top.”
