Students stipulated that the artwork should be a 2D piece inspired by a European artist or artwork, and that participants should also provide a fun fact about the artist. They decided to judge the entries based on creativity and originality.

They used Canva to create an engaging poster to promote the competition, which they attached to the daily notices emailed out to every student, as well as printing some posters to hang around the school. Closer to the competition deadline, they went around to all the form rooms to further promote the competition.
After receiving the entries via email, they chose a winner, whom they met up with to congratulate and present with a prize. They selected the winner based on the originality of her artwork, noting that she had clearly researched her project and chosen a lesser-known artist, demonstrating cultural learning.
